Messy-Podge-Mania is the premiere label release from long-time Melbourne DJ stalwart Alexander Powers, better known as Female Wizard. Their unique and boundary-pushing DJ style has granted them a cult following, which has seen them feature on Boiler Room, perform at Soft Centre Festival and Hybrid Festival, contribute mixes to Discwoman and Boiler Room Hard Dance, hold a four year residency at local queer night Le Fag, and produce Powertrip, an intermittent experimental dance music event.

Powers’ transition into production reflects their DJ style; dance music that penetrates the soul and defies expectation. Across five tracks, Messy-Podge-Mania utilises semi-modular improvisations transmogrified into dynamic and shifting soundscapes, punctuated by ADHD-paced percussion. The EP is entrenched in the uncanny: echoes of familiarity loom up in electric swarms, only to melt back into obscurity.

Also included on the EP is a remix by Portland-based experimental duo MSHR, which assigns Powers' percussive undercurrents to the duo's signature static fizz.
